As an ecologist passionate about supporting sustainable tourism, my recent stay at Funky Monkey Lodge in Costa Rica was a delightful blend of serene nature and comfortable amenities. Managed by a hospitable Argentinian group, the lodge offers a charming escape nestled among trees, just moments from the bustling town. The property boasts a refreshing pool, a tranquil yoga space, and a communal kitchen that align with eco-friendly practices.Our bungalow exuded a rustic charm that surpassed my expectations, with a spacious terrace perfect for unwinding amidst the sounds of nature. While the outdoor bathroom added a unique touch, the shower's water pressure was a tad weak. The lodge's proximity to the beach, local restaurants, and a grocery store ensured convenience without sacrificing the essence of a tropical getaway.The attentive staff, including Guido and Diego, extended warm hospitality, with Eli graciously assisting with babysitting during our stay. Yoga classes were invigorating, and the on-site restaurant offered delectable meals. The property's location provided breathtaking sunset views over the coastline, a true highlight of our visit.Funky Monkey Lodge's emphasis on sustainability and community integration makes it a valuable choice for nature enthusiasts seeking a balance between comfort and eco-consciousness.
